Taxonomic Comments
FNA (vol. 27, 2007) here lumps Sphagnum macrophyllum var. macrophyllum and S. macrophyllum var. burinense in S. macrophyllum. S. macrophyllum var. floridanum is elevated to full species as S. cribrosum.
