Taxonomic Comments
This record for Elymus canadensis, following Kartesz 1999, excludes E. wiegandii and includes var. brachystachys and var. robustus in synonymy. Similarly, Flora of North America Editorial Committee (2007) recognizes E. canadensis and E. wiegandii as distinct species. However, Flora of North America Editorial Committee (2007) also separately recognizes var. brachystachys, var. robustus, and var. canadensis as distinct varieties.
